Employment with Powder Horn

We will begin hiring for the following full-time, seasonal positions in Spring 2015.  Our season begins in May, and runs through Labor Day; start dates vary.

MAINTENANCE AND GROUNDS KEEPING:

  • Working outdoors, throughout the campground property.
  • Daily preparation of campsites for upcoming check ins.
  • General maintenance tasks and projects assigned daily (painting, scraping, sweeping, mopping, using hand and power tools).
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the laundry facilities, swimming pool, and playground area.

 

OFFICE CLERK/RESERVATIONIST:

  • Fast-paced office environment
    • Use your customer service skills!
    • We have a strong Canadian customer base, French speaking skills are a plus!!
  • Remain knowledgeable of Seasonal (long-term campers) and transient (nightly reservations) policies
  • Respond to incoming emails and phone calls; book reservations in our reservation software.
  • Check-in guests and visitors
  • Complete various office tasks, and projects, as assigned, i.e. making signs for special events and activities, etc.

POOL ATTENDANT:

  • The pool attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe and controlled environment in the entire pool complex.
  • They are not expected to perform the duties of a lifeguard, but it is important for the attendant to act swiftly and appropriately in any emergency situation.
  • This individual enforces our resorts’ pool conduct rules, and monitors that they are being followed by all.

 

ACTIVITIES STAFF MEMBER:

  • We have a robust activities program at Powder Horn, with live music, children’s activities, outdoor events, and more.
  • We are seeking motivated, creative individuals to take part in enhancing our activities staff this summer.
  • We are also seeking an Activities Coordinator with experience in management to guide our team this summer!

 

GATE ATTENDANT:

The gate attendant is a very important position.  These individuals act as the ambassador of our resorts.  They are the first person a customer sees when they enter our driveway.

  • Direct traffic flow, and ensure that only registered guests enter the park.  Direct new guests to the office for registration.
  • Field questions from customers entering the park.

 

NIGHT SECURITY STAFF:

  • This position is crucial to maintaining the family camping atmosphere we are known form.
  • The hours for this position would be overnight, between the hours of 10PM to 7AM
  • Night security staff ensures that only registered guests enter the park during the hours of their shift.
  • Makes frequent rounds through the campground, enforcing our quiet hours policy.
  • Responds to complaints and issues accordingly, and involves upper management when necessary.
